"Porch" [short film]
This is a project I created that allowed me to experiment with aspects of filmmaking that I don't usually get to explore; mainly cinematography and editing, but also guerilla style filming.
We filmed over 2 full days in one main location, sourcing all the props and wardrobe ourselves.

This was a music video I made for my very talented friend Brayden Jeffrey who was in his first year of studying music.
We've both developed our styles since this point, but I can still see the beginnings of the visual language that I use in my projects today.
2days of filming, handful of extras and jumping fences in the Auckland CBD. That was Fingertips.

Here is the V48 Hour film I worked on in 2012. We were slapped with the romantic comedy genre and struggled for hours to come up with an original concept. In the end, we decided to combine all the most stereotypical romcom moments and turn them to our advantage in the cheesiest of ways.
We had a massive team, a massive idea and not enough time to finish it. We were about 40 minutes late that year, but still had a great audience response.

This webseries wasn't released on Youtube or Vimeo, so I can't imbed the actual video on this page, BUT there is a link below to the facebook page where all the videos, photos and concept designs were posted.
The idea came about when I sat down with Josh Booth and Stuart Shacklock to create a small post-apocalyptic story. We ended up joking about how useless we would be in that scenario, and how everyone would simply laugh at us for even trying. And so it was that the Three Guys were conceived!

"Hero" [short film]
A short film I made as part of 3rd Year at Unitec film school. I wanted to write something small, about a simple character with a big imagination. I wanted it to be full of colour and music and melodramatic movement. The character needed to be a character from his comic books, so we designed him just so.
We filmmed over 2 days, with a crew of 3rd Year Unitec film students.

"A Post Apocalyptic Guide To Compost" [short film]
1st year out of film school, out in the real world with no job and no film prospects. What do you do? Get some money together and make a short film of course!
Through the generosity of others we scraped together enough money to bring this short, absurd, dead pan comedy to life.
We filmed over 2 days up on a hill in Ramarama, just south of Auckland. Professional grading from the good people at RPM.
